8 A.M. - 5 P.M.

This 5-day course prepares participants to deliver the Emergency Management Institute's Incident Command System curricula. While ICS 100 and 200 courses are addressed, the major emphasis is on G-300 and G-400. You will learn from training professionals how to use adult-learning techniques to get the best out of the classes you teach. You will develop and deliver a training module during the course.

Mandatory Prerequisites:
     • IS-0100.c: An Introduction to the Incident Command System, ICS 100.
     • IS-0200.c: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response, ICS 200.
     • IS-0700.b: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System
     • IS-0800.d: National Response Framework, an Introduction
*Please Note: These mandatory prerequisite courses can be found & completed online at http://training.fema.gov/IS.
     • G300: Intermediate Incident Command System (must be completed 2019 or later)
     • G400: Advanced Incident Command System (must be completed 2019 or later)
     • G-191: ICS/EOC Interface course (must be completed 2019 or later)
     • Documentation of adult instructor training (FEMA Instructor, Fire or LE Instructor I/II or equivalent)

Arizona Applicants must also include the following:
     • A Completed DEMA General Instructor Application.
     • A Completed DEMA Incident Command Track Application
     • Include an Incident Action Plan or other documentation (ICS Form 201) showing your position in three different incidents or events (Command or General Staff)
OR
Incident Qualifications Card (Red Card) or Arizona Qualification System (Gold Card) PLUS Deployment records showing your position in the incidents or events (Command or General Staff)

If approved to attend, a secondary registration through the TEEX website will be necessary.  A link to that registration will be provided with the confirmation of enrollment.

IMPORTANT:  WITHIN 5 DAYS OF ENROLLMENT REQUEST - Applicants must submit completed DEMA Instructor Applications including all required documentation to Vanessa Moreno by email at vanessa.moreno@azdema.gov. All prerequisite documents must be submitted before enrollment can be confirmed.  Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Once we are in receipt of your prerequisite documentation and have verified your eligibility to attend, participants will be sent an enrollment confirmation via email.

*Enrollment Policy: Students must have the status of “Enrolled” to attend any class or event. Students who are “Waitlisted” or “Pending Approval” will not be allowed to attend the class. If a student needs to cancel enrollment, please do so as early as possible to allow someone on the waitlist to be enrolled.
*Attendance Policy: Students must attend at least 90% of the class to be able to receive credit. Should a student need to miss any portion of the class, they must contact the DEMA Training Branch beforehand for further information.

*This course qualifies for AZ POST continuing training credit. If you are a Law Enforcement Branch & would like to request a POST Certificate, contact the DEMA Training Branch at training@azdema.gov or 602-464-6225 once you have successfully completed this course.
