December 3: 8AM-12PM

Length: 12 hours.  This class is presented by the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center.  The Field Intelligence Team (FIT) Certification Course is a counter surveillance detection course based on detecting terrorist activities at large events open to all AZ POST Certified individuals.  FITs deploy as assets at various major events to perform covert counter surveillance operations. Course The FIT mission is to provide situational awareness to Event/Incident Command and during an event.

FITs will support Event Command to identify any suspicious activities that might have a terrorist nexus so that the appropriate first responders can be deployed for mitigation and investigation.
FITs will provide a covert set of trained individuals to infiltrate the crowds at the specified events.
FIT members will provide information on observed suspicious activities directly to Event/Incident Command by using the training and experience taught in this course to determine a possible terrorist nexus, through direct observation, of the activities of spectators.

None. Preference will be given to Certified TLOs.

Reporting Instructions: *Enrollment Policy: Students must have the status of “Enrolled” to attend any class or event. Students who are “Waitlisted” or “Pending Approval” will not be allowed to attend the class. If a student needs to cancel enrollment, please do so as early as possible to allow someone on the waitlist to be enrolled.
