Course Description:
This interactive course equips participants with the skills and strategies needed to deliver engaging, effective training to adult learners. Through a blend of discussion, practice, and feedback, participants explore key topics such as creating a conducive learning environment, mastering presentation techniques, facilitating interaction, and managing the learning process. The course emphasizes adult learning principles, cross-cultural considerations, and practical methods for enhancing learner engagement. Participants will develop measurable objectives, apply evaluation models, and prepare for impactful instructional presentations. The program culminates in a 20-minute presentation with personalized feedback, ensuring readiness to deliver high-quality training.

Objectives - Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Demonstrate the ability to establish a conducive learning environment during an effective 20-minute presentation.
• Demonstrate effective instructional presentation skills.
• Demonstrate skills for facilitating classroom interactions.
• Describe ways to manage the learning process.
• Apply skills to measure training results.
• Deliver three instructional presentations and participate in their evaluations.

LOCATION AND PARKING INFORMATION: This class will be held in the Flagstaff Department of Transportation's Navajo Bridge Training Room. Attendees can park in the general MVD lot and enter the building through the front door on the right.

*Enrollment Policy: Students must have the status of “Enrolled” to attend any class or event. Students who are “Waitlisted” or “Pending Approval” will not be allowed to attend the class. If a student needs to cancel enrollment, please do so as early as possible to allow someone on the waitlist to be enrolled.

*Attendance Policy: Students must attend at least 90% of the class to be able to receive credit. Should a student need to miss any portion of the class, they must contact the DEMA Training Branch beforehand for further information.
