8AM-5PM each day

Course Length: 16 hours. This is an elective course for the FEMA Advanced Professional Series (APS) program. This course introduces the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP), a capabilities and performance-based exercise program that provides a standardized policy, methodology, and language for designing, developing, conducting and evaluating all exercises. HSEEP also facilitates the creation of self-sustaining, capabilities-based exercise programs by providing tools and resources such as policy and guidance, training, technology and direct support.

Target Audience:
First Responders, Emergency Management staff; Local, County, Tribal and State Government Units; Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS, and Hospital providers; School Staff and Administrators; Volunteer Agencies active in disaster or exercise.

*Enrollment Policy: Students must have the status of “Enrolled” to attend any class or event. Students who are “Waitlisted” or “Pending Approval” will not be allowed to attend the class. If a student needs to cancel enrollment, please do so as early as possible to allow someone on the waitlist to be enrolled.

*Attendance Policy: Students must attend at least 90% of the class to be able to receive credit. Should a student need to miss any portion of the class, they must contact the DEMA Training Branch beforehand for further information.
